100 model communication etiquette standards Pimn Models & Admin follow or they can not qualfy.
100 Professional Communication & Etiquette Standards with the new requirements incorporated:
PIMN Professional Communication & Etiquette Standards. Updated.
These standards apply to all PIMN members.
Section 1: Text Messaging Etiquette (1–25)
Treat every text conversation with the same respect as a live phone call.
Always address the person as Sir or Ma'am unless they specifically ask you to use their first name.
Do not leave someone waiting for long periods without a response. As you would not do so face to face.
This is inconsiderate of their time if engaged in a txt back & forth conversation. In otherwords, don't just disappear.
If you get interrupted while texting, politely say “Excuse me for a moment, Sir/Ma'am.” An admin or crew person address a model as Ms and first name.
Director addresses any model or admin as first name. Or as Ms. With first name at his discretion.
Never read a message and then ignore it for hours. They can often see you read it but didn't answer back.
Their mind will start assuming a lack of interest vs you're busy. Just schedule quickly a time if you can reply fully. Rule of thumb, if you can't talk or send back a quick msg, don't answer it that moment.
Do not use excessive abbreviations or slang.
Always use proper grammar and capitalization.
Never send one-word replies like “K”, “Ok”, or “Yeah”. Hey, sup, yo, brush, dude, uhuh, etc
If you cannot respond right away, send: “I’m in the middle of something, Mind if I get back to you shortly, Sir/Ma'am? In say ___ mins or hr? Etc
Never change the subject without acknowledging what the other person just said. Rude.
Always end a conversation properly instead of just stopping. Such as, "I was thinking maybe I should just..." just what? Finish your statement.
If you need to pause the conversation, let them know when you will return, Sir/Ma'am.
Do not text while driving or doing anything that requires full attention. Dangerous. Video is better while looking at road, not the phone unless stopped but that's on you.
Audio pre recorded is safer if you absolutely must answer. Only do if critical and even then, pull over to finish conversation. 3000+ are killed daily by texting and driving in Texas alone.
Never argue or show frustration through text — keep tone calm and professional.
Use appropriate greetings and closings. Good day Sir/Ma'am/Ms Jane How is your day? Ending it. Thank you, have a great day Sir/Ma'am/Ms. Jane
Do not send multiple short messages back-to-back — combine them.
Never screenshot and share private conversations of others. Value others privacy.
Always proofread before sending.
Never use all capital letters. It appears as if you are raising your voice.
Do not discuss private or sensitive matters in group chats.
Respond to time-sensitive messages as quickly as possible. Aim to get replies down to under 5 minutes. Or get beat to a modeling offer by faster responding models. If one comes up for you.
Never ghost someone after consistent back-and-forth texting. Very rude. Disrespectful. Zero courtesy. If busy, nicely inform them and you'd love to talk soon. Give a time.
Always thank the person when they provide help or information, Sir/Ma'am.
End conversations with “Have a great rest of your day, Sir” or “Have a great rest of your day, Ma'am.” or anything like such.
Always maintain a polite, respectful, and professional tone.
Section 2: Email, Video & Audio Communication (26–50)
Always use a professional subject line in emails.
Start every email with a proper greeting such as “Good morning, Sir” or “Good morning, Ma'am.” or like this.
End every email with “Have a great rest of your day, Sir” or “Have a great rest of your day, Ma'am.”
Never eat or drink during video or live audio calls.
Always conduct video calls in a quiet, well-lit, private location.
Look at the camera when speaking.
Keep your background clean and professional.
Mute your microphone when not speaking.
Never interrupt someone while they are speaking.
If you must interrupt, first say “Excuse me, Sir/Ma'am.”
Always test your audio and video before an important call.
Never have other people or pets visible or audible during calls.
If you need to step away, inform the other person first: “Please excuse me for a moment, Sir/Ma'am. Give me please x minutes?
Always reply to emails within 24 hours but with a goal to make it fast as possible. Amateur Models take forever, pro models reply almost immediately. Poor communication vs excellent.
Use professional language — no slang or emojis in formal emails.
Never send an angry email — wait and reread before sending.
Always proofread emails before hitting send.
Identify yourself at the beginning of an audio message.
Keep audio messages under 60 seconds when possible.
Always thank the recipient, Sir/Ma'am.
Use “Sir” or “Ma'am” throughout video and audio calls.
Never discuss confidential information via email without approval.
Always maintain a calm, polite, and professional tone. Even if upset or angry, maturity is self control of emotions. Children throw tantrums, adults are calm. Even if angry or upset.
If you cannot take a call, respond with a polite message explaining when you can.
Always end video or audio calls with “Have a great rest of your day, Sir” or “Have a great rest of your day, Ma'am.”
Section 3: In-Person Communication Standards (51–75)
Always greet people with a smile and say “Hello, Sir” or “Hello, Ma'am.”
Maintain appropriate eye contact when speaking.
Listen actively — never interrupt.
Always use “Sir” or “Ma'am” unless asked to do otherwise.
Never speak with your mouth full Or slurping a drink or chewing gum on video calls or audio. Especially smacking gum or food. Don't be ruffling papers or cheeto bags, doing dishes while talking. It echos their ear.
If you arrive late, apologize sincerely to the person, Sir/Ma'am.
Always thank people for their time, Sir/Ma'am.
Do not check your phone while someone is speaking to you.
Stand or sit up straight — good posture shows respect. Bad posture shows laziness.
Offer a firm but gentle handshake when appropriate. Hugs only if you know them well enough. Worked with them alot, depending on location and scenario. Use your own discretion.
Never gossip about other members.
Always follow through on promises you make.
If you make a mistake, own it and apologize promptly, Sir/Ma'am.

Never complain publicly about PIMN or other members.
Show appreciation for help or guidance you receive, Sir/Ma'am.
Keep your word — reliability matters.
Always maintain respectful body language.
End every in-person interaction with “Have a great rest of your day, Sir” or “Have a great rest of your day, Ma'am.”
Never discuss money or personal matters in professional settings.
Always represent PIMN with dignity and respect.
Section 4: Public & External Communication (76–100)
Always remember you represent the PIMN brand in public.
Never argue, curse, or respond negatively in public comments.
When someone is rude or negative online, respond with calm politeness and use “Sir” or “Ma'am.”
Never post inappropriate, drunk, or illegal content. No obscene hand gestures on any social media professionals you might work with can access. Tongues out, etc
Avoid controversial topics on your public profiles.
When commenting publicly, always remain positive and professional.
Never engage in public arguments — take issues to private messages. Remain professional in public, even if fuming angry. Calm down, take a breather then talk it out. Not when angry. You might say things you later regret.
Use “Sir” or “Ma'am” even when responding to negative comments.
Never tag PIMN in personal drama or arguments. Issues to Pimn go on video calmly. Cursing or raised voices on video will be stopped. Not reviewed. Told to redo it when calmed down. If such ever happens.
Keep personal and professional social media accounts separate.
Always speak positively about PIMN when talking to outsiders.
Never give out other members’ contact information. Especially phone numbers or your own private cell number. Way too much personal info can be gathered. Even your location.
Maintain professionalism when dealing with outside photographers, makeup artists, or brands if ever you work with such.
Never make promises on behalf of PIMN without approval. Consult admin.
Always respond professionally to DMs from the public, using “Sir” or “Ma'am.”
If you receive negative or inappropriate messages, do not engage — forward them to the Director.
Keep personal and professional social media clearly separate.

Always direct potential models or business inquiries to official channels.
Never speak negatively about other agencies or competitors in public.
Use professional titles and respectful language with all outside professionals.
Never share another member’s photos or information without permission.
Maintain a positive and professional image in all public comments and posts.
Always respond to public criticism with courtesy and respect, addressing the person.
These are to be adhered to if selected as a Pimn model or Admin or Admin Model or Exec Admin. No excuses to the standards. If you can't you will not be desired to stay. Be consistent in these.
We don't care if others feel this is too much, that's ridiculous, seriously? Yes, seriously. If the model or admin has an issue with these, they are not Pimn model material or Admin material.
Do not give respect then remove it, that's considered disrespectful. Like calling a professor professor in college then seeing him at the store saying hey Buddy or hey John or like addressing a doctor as Doctor Jones then you see them at a coffee spot and say, "Hey there Bruh." No. No and still no.
It's pure disrespect. They earned that title, it should remain as such.
Use these and you'll be by FAR considered already much more professional model than those that smack gum and say huh? Huh, yeah, sure. Ok. Hey, you, dude, bro. Etc
If you cant...don't submit for Pimn modeling or Admin. It's not just in txt or email or video, it's in person too.
Be as you communicate online or it's not real. It's not consistent. It's forced. If it's hard for you...train yourself by practicing to yourself... out loud, until you can get it consistently.
Pimn models and Admin need to refresh on this post often. Very often. Until it's learned. Models that have applied these have received many compliments from other pros. That's A FACT.
Respect is always appreciated by anyone. If they say, "Oh, you don't need to call me Sir or Ma'am", then go by what THAT PERSON only requests.
Don't go by what outside of Pimn models or pros say if they tell you, "oh, you don't need to be like that, talk like that, that's ridiculous".
Keep notifications on with a model manager and don't get irate if they contact you at 2am or 4am or 6am as it could be valuable to you. Pro models are available 24/7.
Amateur Models complain about being woken up. Wake yourself up before talking. Be coherent to the msg.
It could mean a good paid shoot for you or contract offer. Sleeping with notifications off...means you are OK with another model being selected over you.
Admin are 24/7 if needed. We operate 24/7 multiple time zones. If needed, wake up and catch your sleep later.
If you sleep next to another significant other, then you might have an issue as a Pimn model or Admin. Huh?
Unless...they understand you are now working with a 24/7 Pimn. Fully support that. They must fully support your efforts if you have such.
Phone numbers are never exchanged in Pimn, the calls are online via source where numbers are concealed. ALWAYS. PERIOD.
We don't go by their standards. Some THE SMARTEST of models and Admin types I've worked with or trained used manners like all the above.
So the above is based off years working with models and actresses and actors and film / photography pros.
Pimn Director.
