OTHER THINGS TO NOTE.
Never randomly video call without requesting. It may or may not be granted, depending on the pimn director, trainer, manager.
But this goes for anyone.
Never be cooking or cleaning, chewing food or ruffling papers etc on a call or video chat. Considered rude and inconsiderate.
Other caller can hear it all.
Don't be late to call or if requested for a call. Unavailable as scheduled. Cancelling too many times shows unreliability. Not organized. Over booking.
Not informing your manager when youre not available or out of town or ill is not good communication at all.
Keep your manager, trainer updated!
If needing a break from training, submit it with a quick 1 min video why. Explain when youll be available again. Inform if still reachable or not.
on shoots...
Greeting the pimn director or any photographer, mua or hair stylists in person is always with Sir or Ma'am. unless...they are younger than you. Than first name is ok.
And when asked things or to do anything, be responsive soon as able. Seeing a msg and not replying is considered rude.
Even a quick Yes Sir or Yes Ma'am is acceptable vs no response or a response two hours later?
Same applies meeting others if a pimn model. You represent us.
It takes a professional mindset that some can't do.
Those will never make it in Pimn... if being polite and respectful is not their style.
If applying professional business etiquette is just too difficult...they are not professional model material. Regardless how beautiful or experienced.
A model's own ego or attitude can hold her back from more offers or discovering her true potential.
Nobody likes a stubborn headed model to work with or one that is rude or inconsiderate, unreliable.
Pimn models learn what other models are not willing to learn or apply.
Pimn Models are always very friendly and reliable to their word.
To NOT be so...
In the professional businesses, this mindset can get a person let go, never to be called back again.
Pimn has done so with models that can't relate to what's amateur vs what's professional.
Even worse, it can lead other models and other pros to speak down about such a model that's difficult to work with. Has a toxic attitude.
So if you join us, leave any bad attitude or ego outside of Pimn.
It's not accepted. That will lead a model to be eventually dropped, regardless of looks.
Keeping in mind, pro models for magazines can earn as much as 5k a shoot if you ever get good enough. Or $500 a day. Etc
However, that takes a special kind of passion, commitment & training as well as self-discipline. Time to progress and build content and be consistent & reliable.
Never be late if a planned travel shoot. Yet, dont speed race either. If caught in traffic jam, call in why youll be late. Try to think ahead of encountering bad traffic or breakdowns, gasing up, breaks, etc.
Always arrive 30-60 min early. Depending on needs to prepare yourself or with a mua or hairstylist, it may depend how early.
Be ready by time pimn photographer is ready.
Msgs without proper etiquette are not replied to If youre at home.
If you're ignored, that's likely why, unless your pimn trainer, mentor, manager is busy.
Confirm a shoot always...before you hit the road. Bring a girlfriend if you need. Inform who might be with you.
The focus of answering msgs and all communications is a goal of right away. Not hours, days, weeks later. Your trainer will not chase you. Be available or inform youre not.
Be sure to have everything you need and that includes enough funds for that trip.
Never ever drive too tired.
Never be outside your car on a highway, road, broken down. Stay in locked car until tow arrives. Never accept a strangers help.
Wave them off and don't open the door. Carry mace always. Or other defense wpn permitted by your city and city going to.
Never do makeup or hair while driving! Very unsafe!! Or with feet up on dash if a passenger!
As for communicating...
Keep that notification on if you become a pimn model.
Pimn models are a whole different breed above others... than most solo models, experienced or not... whom never had model training or a mentor or manager.
