Do I really need Pimn virtual home model training? Part 2

Dec 06, 2024

Academy training like Pimn : Pro International Modeling Network- can provide models with a competitive edge when seeking representation with a modeling agency. Here are some key advantages:

# Advantages of Academy-Trained Models vs untrained.

1. *Professionalism and Industry Knowledge*: Academy-trained models learn about the industry, its standards, and best practices. They understand the expectations of agencies, clients, and photographers.

2. *Developed Skills*: Formal training helps models develop essential skills like posing, walking, and expression. They learn how to work with photographers, stylists, and other professionals.

3. *Portfolio Variety Development*: Academy-trained models often graduate with a professional portfolio, showcasing their versatility and range.

This portfolio is essential for attracting agency attention. It's far better to have too much variety than hardly ANY variety. It shows the model's diversity.

Imagine a new model, with say only business or casual attire portfolio, trying to get signed on with an agency...

She has no video demo reel of her modeling if asked for any, no variety of makeup, limited variety of hair styling, only 25 photos. No variety of styles of wardrobe.

No schooling, bad posture, poor communication skills, poor etiquette, takes a day to answer an e-mail, never a model manager, never a model mentor, lacking on her resume', no personal website, no catwalk experience.

If asked, ever model under pressure? And she asks, what does that mean?

Vs...Yes Ma'am multiple times and I scored 100 every time on my being tested. Here is a record of my modeling score cards over years in modeling school with Pimn.

If asked if she's ever posed on a shoot for up to 30 minutes at time without a break or even an hour? Time is of the essence on our high paid shoots. We can't be taking breaks every 15 minutes.

She can't honestly say Yes Sir or Yes Ma'am, because she NEVER has been pose time tested.

Doesn't submit properly, has a couple bad shots in her portfolio which, can get her rejected, has no video resume' the list is endless, comes across as not so confident, asks the wrong questions at the wrong times.

And...if asked, ever been to a modeling academy, she has to hesitate and think, I was warned but ignored it by Pimn. Uh, no Ma'am.

Ok, thank you, we'll be in touch. After the replies, the agency hiring manager sighs. Thinking, how do these ladies even expect to be considered?

Next.

Vs a Pimn model who has all the above bagged and zipped with a smile.

Waiting to be seen next. Who will get the modeling offer?

Let's continue...

4. *Networking Opportunities*: Modeling academies often have connections with agencies, scouts, and industry professionals. Students may have opportunities to meet and network with these contacts.

5. *Confidence and Preparation*: Formal training helps models build confidence and prepares them for the demands of the industry.

They learn how to handle rejection, take direction, and navigate the business side of modeling.

And yet, some on chat apps like reddit...are telling new models..."You DON'T need a modeling academy to be a good model! If you got the look, you got the look!"

Sorry, modeling is a career, its WAY MORE than just a look. Stop taking advice from random, unknown people on chat forums or social media.
