Scoring Criteria for Pimn Models Daily, Weekly, Monthly. PART 1
In the competitive world of magazine features, understanding the scoring criteria for Pimn models is crucial. Not only for qualifying for Magazine entry...but, also throughout training.
Those also involved in magazine publishing such as Pimn director, editing and writer or other runner-up, contributing models are fully aware only top score models are selected.
As well, any other contributors such as photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists that have worked with a pimn model have submissions but, no scores needed. Only models obviously.
The scores of models help determine who and what makes it to the pages and which models need further refinement on their modeling.
In this blog post, we'll delve into the essential components of these scoring criteria and how they impact the selection process.

Understanding the Basics of Pimn Models
Pimn models are scored prior to magazine acceptance to evaluate potential feature submissions.
If her over all scores are below 90, a model isn't accepted for magazine. 50 is avg. Below 50 is below avg. 75 is great. 100 is excellent. The range of scoring is literally between 0-100.
We focus on several key elements that ensure a layout is not only compelling but also aligns with the magazine's standards of modeling quality.
But, this isn't just for future magazine issue. It's a general, over all model training score daily, weekly, monthly....whether a model makes it into magazine or not, she is still scored daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. Only if she is ACTIVE not on a pause or vacation.
The scoring criteria are divided into various categories, each with its own significance in the decision-making process.
● Discussed more in-depth in PART 2.

It is important for Pimn models to comprehend the core areas that are assessed by a trainer. Even over all, within 12 months.
Why scoring?
Why do universities score and grade their student's papers and assignments, testing them, re-testing them?
Same process. Pimn is for the SERIOUS MODEL. Just as any university student takes his or her courses to study seriously to pass that class or for a degree or certifications.
So too with Pimn. This is an indepth study course for at home modeling. Only local, high score models work directly with director at this time.
That could change later. Where a foreign or out of state model might meet up with the director if she has top scores. Whether or not that trip is fully paid for by Pimn is yet to be determined.

Difference is...Pimn allows a FREE basic, minimal assistance training. A model can upgrade her membership to get more benefits within a day later or a year later.
It's up to her. No pressure..You want more?
Just as any school will. Except, they'll charge you 2k to walk In the door the 2nd time you visit to start your modeling. We don't. Why? Because your $$$ isn't our priority.
YOUR SUCCESS IS.
So if anyone tells you, "oh thats a scam! They don't go by industry standards!"
They honestly, unfortunately don't understand Pimn's methods. Because we create our own industry standards based off a different approach to modeling. Virtual, home modeling.
WE ARE NOT BASED OFF FASHION RUNWAY STANDARDS.
Height is irrelevant. Weight not so irrelevant but long as the model is willing to put in the fitness routine to get herself up to par with what Pimn modeling expects her to uphold.

OBJECTIVE OF SCORING?
To help models make progress and allow you to see how well you are progressing and maintaining your knowledging and your changes made.
Changes are NOT meant to be later cast aside. Pimn changes for women are meant to be for long term, not short term. And to help you become that future better version of you.
Following what's asked of you is vital. Not 25% of the time. Not 50 or 75% of the time. 100% of the time and that, for some is easy to do and for others, not as easy or some, it's an inner mental struggle.

Pro models have eradicated that inner mental struggle. I can't, that sounds hard, not sure I can do it, etc type talk.
You ARE as you SPEAK.
If on pause. You'll have lenient feedback from a trainer. If active, you won't have liency in what needs to be done when requested, as requested, based off your own boundaries initially that you set.
Meaning, a pimn model is not asked to go outside of her own boundaries. If it's something that is pushing her boundaries, she needs to politely express her concern. But, to communicate what it is from the start. Not later at a time of a shoot.
Such as...inexperienced models do...

Just telling her manager, "um I'm sorry Sir, I couldn't do it today because....well, I wasn't sure of ? So I don't have my submission today. I'm sorry Sir." Not good to tell your trainer or manager this.
We have had this. Informed the model in training, you're aware that if this had been for a paid client, you'd be likely replaced today and lose the offer to another model that could get in what's needed, right?"
For those thinking, maybe she was asked to do a shoot in a style she wasn't comfortable with! No. Here's why....
Pimn models are never asked to do nudes or implied nudes or lingerie if thats not already on their own list of styles they are open to do.
If it's not on your style list, such offers go to other models that can do so. Meaning : your shoots are going to be within the limits of your own choice of styles. That includes weather conditions.

Originality and Relevance
Originality is a cornerstone of any successful magazine feature. Editors look for unique angles or fresh perspectives that set model layouts apart from others.
A high score in this category indicates that a layout offers something new or highly creative that is accepted by Pimn. This is discussed before doing it.
Don't try to surprise a trainer. You need to discuss your style of shoot first unless asked to do a specific style. Often you will rotate on styles.
Your best shoots can be options for going into the magazine if you make scores high enough for magazine selected models.
Relevance, on the other hand, ensures that the content aligns with current trends or topics of interest to the magazine's readership.
This criterion requires writer and models to stay attuned to market dynamics and audience preferences.

Image Quality
The image quality of a submission is another critical component of the scoring criteria. This includes the structure, flow, and overall impression of the piece.
A well-created shoot captivates readers from start to finish, maintaining their interest throughout.
Editor looks for feedback that not only inform but also engage emotions, provoke thoughts, or inspire action.
The ability to weave a compelling narrative is often what distinguishes a good feature from a great one.
As well as a unique layout of images. Whether runner up cover models or the cover model herself.
Don't worry, your efforts won't be that difficult to take the fun put of it for you. But it will be challenging.

Visual Appeal and Audience Engagement
A visually appealing feature is more likely to grab attention in a magazine filled with competing content.
High-quality images, graphics, and layout design contribute significantly to a story's overall impact. Magazines often prioritize features that offer strong visual elements.
Audience engagement is equally important. Features that encourage readers to interact, whether through comments, social media shares, or discussions, are highly valued.
This criterion assesses the potential reach and influence of a magazine model layout or cover image included.

Balancing Scoring Criteria
While each element of the Pimn model is crucial, achieving a balance among them is key to a successful magazine feature.
The editor must weigh each factor against the others to ensure that the final selection meets both editorial standards and reader expectations.

Understanding these scoring criteria allows contributors to create a layout that stands out in a crowded and highly competitive industry.
By focusing on originality, relevance, narrative quality, visual appeal, and audience engagement, models can enhance their chances of being featured in Pimn magazine.
