What NOT to do as a PIMN Model if accepted

Apr 09, 2025

THESE ARE A LOT OF TIPS ON WHAT NOT TO BE DOING. IF YOU LOSE FOCUS READING THEM, PAUSE AND COME BACK LATER TO FINISH.

THESE ARE MEANT FOR PIMN MODELS THAT PASS AUDITIONS. As are all blog posts. What you see of blog posts are only scraping the surface of what Pimn offers women who are motivated enough and can qualify.

Pimn isn't just about tips on a blog. It's about an actual virtual modeling school you do from home. The best models tell us such things as...

"I'm seeking to learn more, I'm easy to work with and willing to be the best I can be. I truly love modeling and feel I need guidance and is why I'm seeking Pimn Sir."

They demonstrate extremely positive attitudes and very open to learning and applying whatever it takes to discover the cover model within.

The ones that qualify are the ones that find they are learning already alot just off the Pimn blog.

Don't argue with any trainer, mentor, manager. Or...

Don't complain

Don't be late

Don't curse

Don't show anger. If upset, talk calmly and politely and express yourself maturely.

Don't chew gum on video shoots or during video response clips. You can have gum, just don't be chewing it while filming.

Don't be lazy or unmotivated.

Don't laugh if a trainer is trying to be serious.

Don't ignore studying or reading and applying.

Make a habit of reading at minimum one blog post a day until caught up.

Do not do a photo video shoot in a wardrobe that hasn't already been shown on video or photos to your trainer. They could have recommended changes needed.

Don't look or view fitness as a judgement on your looks. Even the best models keep working out to look their best.

Don't skip scheduled routine shoots without consulting your trainer first with a video request to skip that day and provide another next time you can do so.

Don't be rude to trainers, mentors, managers, photographers, makeup artists, other models, even if you think they are prettier. That's not professional or mature.

Don't question a trainers request. Unless you have very good reason. And do so politely and respectfully.

Don't ghost messages or emails. This is highly disrespectful.

Don't delay communications. Also very disrespectful to your trainers schedule or time.

Don't be camera shy. You're a model, this must be left behind if you are video or camera shy.

Don't skip a submission without informing trainer why, what happened. If an emergency, try your very best to send a quick msg to inform.

Don't post content without approval. Your content always always needs to be reviewed first by your trainer.

Don't bring in others without talking to trainer first.

Don't post images with boyfriends or family on your professional portfolio.

Don't video review promote unless approved and your scores are high enough. Given okay by trainer, mentor, manager to do so.

Promoting by talking is one thing but video promos need to be a certain way.

Don't change up attire once confirmed with trainer on your shoot.

Dont buy new modeling clothing or shoes specific to model in without consulting your trainer with them on. Video preferred.

If in person, never ask to leave early to try to rush a shoot unless you have an emergency. That means do not over book.

Do not do editing in your first submissions each time you submit video or images.

Don't ignore directions given by your trainer, mentor, manager. The very best models follow direction well.........

Follow direction exactly as given is the sign of a more professional model.

The better the model, the better she can follow directions of her trainer, a photographer, model manager, mentor.

If in person, doing a shoot, don't complain of discomfort. If cold, ask nicely to warm up please. It is all in tone of voice.

If too hot, request a cool down break. Getting angry or upset at others over your discomfort is amateur to do and an immature response.

Don't blame others for what's not in their control and if it is in their control, be respectful and ask with a mature demeanor.

Nobody likes to work with any model, regardless of looks that has an easily upset, arrogant, rude attitude.

Delaying a paid shoot can cost the client more so being proficient and a great model that can get the job done is ideal.

If you wont, keep in mind, another model can or will and never feel you are not replaceable.

Many stories of both models and actresses fired or let go of on the spot for bad mouthing the wrong person or not being able to do the job right.

Yes, its about enjoying what you do and not meant to be difficult but some models make it harder on themselves by simply having a bad attitude. So...

Don't be that model if a Pimn model in training.

One top cover model complained and cursed and three other women there looked at photographer like....can't believe she is talking this way to him. Is she serious?

Was being very rude and unprofessional. Delaying the shoot. She got chewed out and told to get back on spot and finish the shoot.

Do not do a shoot unprepared. If cold weather is anticipated, bring a jacket or coat.

Don't ever be a no show, no call on any shoot, even if TFP. Word spreads fast and others won't want to work with you.

Don't give respect to people then take it away, that's considered disrespect.

Don't be talking to others while talking to your trainer keeping them waiting on your answer.

If in person with a person for a shoot, do not be on your phone regularly txting. A very quick msg is ok.

Turn phone off if at any in-person shoot or use vibrate. In case of family emergency at home.

Treat txting and video responses as if in person. This is very rude on txt as much as it is in person.

Don't drive and video unless you have full attention on the road. You don't need to look at camera unless stopped. Preferably not still on the road.

Don't txt and drive to a trainer.

Don't have bad audio in your video submissions.

Don't send nudes unless you have stated one of your styles is nude art

Don't get others into a pre recorded video submission, modeling or a communicating if at all possible

Don't use dude, bro, hey, yo, WhatsUp, hey you or other slang to model trainers, mentors or managers. Its always Sir if a he and or Ma'am if a she.

Do not be smoking or vaping on video submissions or eating or drinking.

If someone interrupts you, pause it. Restart it when they are done if pre recording a video reply.

If by chance you are ever video live chat with a trainer, mentor, manager and interrupted by others. Say, excuse me, may I get with you when I'm done here please? ....

To the person interrupting. First person has priority of conversation.

If you cut off a first person to speak to a second person, you are making it seem the first person is not as important.

Do not have lighting too dark on video or images unless that is the desired effect.

Do not shoot with a shaky camera and use a tripod or clamp, anything to keep camera still.

Do not shoot in a bathroom Or post bathroom selfies or dirty bedroom or messy home pics.

Do not post phone in hand, mirror selfies

Do not be smoking or vaping on camera. If you need to do so, pause it, take a break. Come back to it. You set your own schedule with a trainer.

However, keep in mind...you may be timed for scoring. As your pace is meant to in some areas improve on speed. Such as hair styles, wardrobe and makeup or changing attire between shoots.

Don't change on video unless you desire for trainer to see a bts footage. Bts means behind the scenes. Which some models do this to add to their portfolio and edited for public.

Don't hide face in shoots or use animal filters or other filters. This is more so for young girls not mature women.

Do not do upside down shots. Huge no. Not very visually appealing.

Do not do blood or gore, horror style shoots as Pimn does not support it. Halloween is acceptable.

Do not do shoots related to illegal drugs or other such activity. Not as a Pimn model.

Do not take incomplete modeling poses.

Such as a hand almost up to your face. Or almost touching your hip or thigh, etc. Any image that doesn't look like a completed pose.

Do not cut hair without talking to model trainer unless only trimming which should be done by a 1/4" monthly to help hair growth.

Do not delay a shoot longer than is expected or requested to be timed and scored.

Inform trainer if you feel you are going to be longer and by how much expected? Then stick to that time.

Don't question scoring by a trainer. They are the instructor, not you.

Don't argue about a temporary suspension. You may ask then don't hold it personally. Simply learn from it and do better next time.

Do not look like you've rolled out of bed unless you actually were in bed at time of reply by video. It could be 2am in the morning. You dont need to make yourself up.

Don't look at your watch while on video. Or other distractions.

Don't be slow in changing for shoots. Some models take way too long and take their time. If people are waiting on you, move thy butt quickly and get back on spot.

Don't ignore staying shaved. That includes everywhere. If you notice neck hair, shave it. Slightly visible mustache, shave it. Legs, under arms, bikini area.

Don't ignore your new hair style a day training. In Pimn, models do video portfolios of these until they run out of options.

Don't ignore doing hair and makeup for shoots. Every shoot, you are to look your best. One bad image can ruin a great portfolio.

Don't mix casual shots of you on vacation, with friends partying, out with your pet if you have one with pro shoots. Keep personal life images separate from professional.

Do not be petting or holding pets on video responses. If an animal accidentally gets on camera, say, excuse my dog or cat please.

Or pause it or cut out that part. Same applies to other issues when pre recording video responses or submissions. Door bells. People showing up by surprise.

Don't forget to inform others if any at home when you are shooting and modeling to not distract or interrupt please.

Don't be on your phone if doing a laptop video return submission

Don't allow background distractions if possible. Be aware of sound and visual distractions when doing video or photos.

Don't send if audio is muffled out by cars, people, trains or planes. Redo it. Yes, you can be outside, long as background sound isn't too distracting. Not heavy crowded areas.

Test a video response first by reviewing it before sending it if able to.

Don't get in anyone's way at gyms filming. Try times when least busy or a solo home fitness or with girlfriend if in a bestie program.

Don't go into indepth detail on reasons for not submitting. Trainer only needs in basic form your reason.

They may have other models to work with. If you wish to talk about anything, txt or video response...ask if it's not pertaining to training.

Don't get others on video without their permission. You can film a potential meet up talk to another female interested for help on questions if she is okay with that.

If you have too many background people,  find a place with a wall behind you.

Same applies at home. Even people or animals just walking around behind you or moving dishes can be very distracting. It's not professional way.

Don't send a video in bad weather or while driving. Pull over into a parking area not the side of the road.

If you can't answer tap any key once. It doesn't matter what. Your trainer will know. Best way is number of min until able to answer if able like 7 means....in 9 minutes ill answer.

If driving, don't answer until stopped and answer in the time frame you have. Whether parked or at a street light.

Don't let your model decisions be based on the opinions of others or friends or family not involved in Pimn. Unless emergency.

They do not understand or know of Pimn standards. Unless you've told them. And that's alot to tell.

Don't skip over blog posts. These are essential

Don't give excuse after excuse or you'll risk suspension until you don't give excuses

Don't try to tell a trainer how you use to do things or you were taught a different way by another modeling. Your trainer won't care. Just do it as Pimn trainer requests.

Don't do photos with hair roots showing if dyed hair. Natural hair is better, realistic wigs for changing hair styles and colors.

Do not wear nose rings, lip rings, eyebrow rings in photos.

Don't ignore standards of etiquette

Don't lie to your trainer.

Don't be negative or insecure.

Don't go missing for days, not inforning trainer why.

Don't miss a check in video or check out video for a modeling day scheduled

Don't not ignore taking notes

Don't try to negotiate with a potential client

Don't hire or ask for a photographer without consulting your trainer

Don't be unmotivated in your modeling or fitness training

Don't try to teach a trainer

Don't put Pimn last, if it's not a priority to you, you might reconsider being a Pro Pimn model

These are the top Don't dos list for Pimn

pro models are highly self-disciplined and stick to routines of training and mastering modeling. Pimn models care about professionalism.

Don't take photos or videos with gawdy backgrounds. Background is everything in a photo. No trash cans or trash, no people, no stacks of beer bottles, etc.

Be aware of your background and make it match your wardrobe.

You wouldn't wear a bikini under a highway bridge or a dinner dress In a workout room.

Do not be flaky or wishy washy in your decisions. Do not be a quitter just because it's hard... It can effect your future in modeling.

Nobody said pro level modeling would be easy.

NEVER raise voice or yell or curse at anyone on a photo shoot. Treat everyone respectfully..

Never leave an in person shoot without offering to help clean up if the situation is one where such seems needed. Being helpful to others makes you stand out.

However, do not touch other people's personal cameras or purses or bags. Equipment is different. But not cameras. You break it, you can be liable to pay for it.

Don't leave for a shoot without triple checking everything needed.

Dont forget to be grateful, thankful, courteous to not just your trainer but others you work with.

Nobody like a late, rude, loud, crude, obnoxious, lacking of courteous model that only thinks about herself and her ego is so high of herself, she repulses people to want to work with her again.

Don't be that model. Don't get a big head that you become argumentative to what others hiring you or training you say.

DO LEARN THESE AND LEARN THEM WELL IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED INTO PIMN MODELING.
